Very little politics, few petty grievances, supportive staff and administration, no egos (other than my own)—I enjoy working at this school with these people. (This is only a small portion of the high school and middle school team; for the end-of-the-year lunch, we had to sit at three separate tables.)
I plan to return to the school in August, for my third year there and eleventh overall, and it looks like I will be picking up two additional classes (tenth grade English/literature to go along with my senior writing workshop/bootcamp). Obviously, I will be busier, but it should leave plenty of time for writing and editing.
With the two months I have off from teaching, I will be reworking a fictional memoir I wrote several years ago, editing a 120,000-word nonfiction book, book-coaching, etc. If I can help you with anything, just let me know.
